Ball screws operate via recirculating ball bearings that roll between the screw shaft and nut. As the screw rotates, the balls circulate through helical grooves, transferring motion linearly. This rolling-contact mechanism replaces sliding friction with near-frictionless motion, reducing heat generation and power consumption. Preload adjustments eliminate axial play, ensuring zero backlash and enhanced positional accuracy.
